Highly innovative TDR measurement for mobile applications

The Acclima TDR -305 N soil moisture sensor offers precise measurement of important soil parameters such as:

–    Volumetric soil humidity
–    Temperature
–    Electrical conductivity

The high-frequency TDR measurement in this sensor has been specially optimised for mobile applications ("check and go") and, thanks to the adapted probe length, provides all greenkeepers with the ideal measuring instrument for golf and sports course maintenance. The compact design of the sensor also makes it possible to measure in smaller potted and container plants.
The TDR measurement principle generally offers a number of advantages that favour simple and precise measurement. The use of a high measuring frequency minimises the effects of high salt content and different soil types on the determination of soil moisture.
This has the specific advantage that no soil-specific calibration is required for changing soil types. The Acclima TDR-305 N offers this advantage, allowing the customer to take comparable measurements at any time.

The SDI-12 sensor reader can read out any Acclima SDI-12 soil moisture sensor and display the current measured values on an LC screen. In addition to the measured soil parameters, the device also saves the GPS data and displays the average, maximum and minimum values for the current series of measurements. It features a 32 GB data carrier with micro and standard USB ports for saving measured values and updating the device.
It is powered by a lithium-ion battery that can be charged using the supplied mains adapter. Also included is a robust carrying case for safe transport in the field and a USB cable for transferring the stored data.
