Weather station for remote monitoring
The weather station has many high-quality sensors that are connected to a radio unit via cable. The measurements are transmitted wirelessly via NB-IoT (SIM card) or LoRaWAN; this enables the station to work autonomously practically anywhere in the field. The radio module itself is powered by a long-life battery that guarantees a service life of several years. It can then be easily replaced.
The standard version of the weather station delivers the following measurement data:
– Air temperature,
– Relative humidity,
– Air pressure,
– Rain quantity,
– Wind speed and wind direction.
Additional sensors can optionally be added to determine:
– Soil moisture (SMT100, refer to page 40),
– Photosynthetically active radiation (PAR),
– Soil temperature.
The measured data is collected and can then be accessed via a clearly organised web-based dashboard. If you already have your own method for recording the data, the raw data can also be sent directly to your platform. Settings, such as measurement intervals or automatic notifications, can be changed individually for each measuring station using the dashboard. When used together with our radio-controlled units for
measuring soil moisture, you can access data from the weather station combined with the soil moisture values in a compact overview. Thus, you quickly and easily get a complete overview of your key data.
